Call For Papers

Take part in the second annual Undergraduate and Masters student conference at the University of Lethbridge in southern Alberta. The conference is an opportunity to show off the best of your academic work from any field dealing with human experience, art, society, or culture from around the world and throughout history. Proposals for papers from any discipline within the academic fields of the humanities and social sciences and related disciplines are welcome.

Presentations are typically 20 minutes long with an additional 10 minutes for questions and comments. We will also have a poster session.

To take part, you will need to submit an abstract of ca. 250 words of your proposed paper or poster detailing your thesis, and telling us a bit about your methods or approach. You won’t ever have to send us the whole paper. We will send your abstract along to someone in your field for their assessment, and if they like it, you’re in! If there are some problems with it, we will try to give you some constructive criticism so you can fix it up and try again. The abstract will be made public to help advertise your talk.

A number of related presentations will be grouped together in a session of ninety minutes or two hours.

We will assess and accept papers as they come in, and the earlier you submit, the longer you have to plan and make travel arrangements or corrections in your proposal. All proposals should be in by April 10, 2020.

You will have to register and pay the fee to be allowed to present.
