Connections 2020

CONFERENCE CANCELLED

We are very sorry to have to cancel the 2020 Connections Conference due to the Corona virus pandemic. As of this point, the University of Lethbridge is still permitting smaller gatherings to take place, but we do not wish to take risks with anyone’s health. We don’t expect Connections would exceed the current maximum, but since our event is over 3 days and involves socializing, and buffet style food, we feel it would be irresponsible to allow the conference to continue. We sincerely regret any inconvenience this may cause anyone. If you have already registered, we will be processing refunds early next week. We hope to host the event again next year. Best wishes for getting through this crisis, and for your continued academic careers.

On 1-3 May, 2020 the University of Lethbridge will proudly host the second annual Connections Student Conference in the Humanities and Social Sciences.

This conference is proudly sponsored by: The Prentice Institute, The Office of The President, The Dean of Arts and Science, The School of Liberal Education, and the Agility Program.

Presenting at this interdisciplinary student conference is open to all undergraduate and masters students enrolled in a recognized post-secondary institution. Students, faculty, staff, and members of the public are also welcome to register for and attend the conference.

The aims of the conference are to bring together students in a wide range of areas to share their research, gain experience attending and presenting at an academic conference, and further develop the scholarly student community at Lethbridge and beyond.

On this website you will find details about the conference. If you wish to present at the conference, you will need to submit an abstract. More information about accommodations and registration will be coming soon.

We hope to see you there!
